It is sticky and it will stink. Use Signature Polish and you will have to work harder to apply it, but it seems to work the best in the market. If you do not want to have to work as hard, Stainless Steel Magic Spray may be the way for you to go. I use both of these in my home. Do not use the wipes, it is not the same. Do not use WD40 either, also stinky.

You can clean stainless w/ some olive oil (teeny bit) on a rag, or there is a mitt that you can use that you just moisten with water and buff the prints away. I was shocked to see how well these low tech cleaning methods worked! Eco-friendly as well. I will try and locate my mitt-thing to see what the brand is – Hey! It’s made by Simple Human. I picked it up at Linens and Things/Bed Bath Beyond, one or the other.

I completely agree with you about stainless and fingerprints. Dacor gave us samples of something called CeramaBryte Stainless Steel Polish and Conditioner “Contains Mineral Oil.” Subzero’s version is called Signature Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish, “contains petroleum distillates.” I’ve used both but now can’t remember which one worked better, so I’ll clean ’em up again this weekend and give you a comparison.
